Does anyone know offhand roughly the percentage of ppl who use either SDN and/or MDApps vs the number of AMCAS/AACOMAS profiles?

My interview experiences would indicate 5%. I think that's the overall percentage of individuals I've met at interviews who say they are SDN members.

Doing a quick search for all MD/DO applicants who applied in 2007 shows 1497 profiles (including incomplete profiles).

In 2007, 42,315 people applied to allopathic schools (http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/2007/2007mcatgpa.htm).

This counts some who applied DO only and excludes some who applied MD/PhD only, but the percentage for 2007 is roughly 1,497/42,315 = .035, or 3.5%.

Oh-- you wanted SDN too. Not sure about that one, maybe 2-3 x MDapps, or about 7-10 %? I guess I don't get the cookie.
