Please tell me if this is correct.

If you get in the ?75% percentile?, then that means that you scored better than 75% of the people that have already taken it. Is this correct? And if it is correct, does this percentile mean that you scored better than 75% of test takers THIS YEAR? Or over the last 5 years? Or ever?

Can anyone help me out here?

yes, the percentage means you scored better than that percent of those that have taken it.

I think the percentages judge you against other students that have taken the test around the same period (just a guess).

The %age, as far as I understand it with the DAT, relates not only to the same time period of test takers, but also to test takers who had simliar questions.
