Hey Everyone. I'd appreciate any advice on this. I'm taking my DAT in 3 weeks and just need some advice especially on the perceptual ability section. That's going to be my most dreaded section. I'm pretty good at the angle ranking, cube counting, and hole punching but the other 3 sections I'm not very good at to be honest. I was thinking of doing these 3 sections first, just so I guarantee myself getting most of these 45 questions right. And then I would go onto the pattern folding and then go back to the beginning and do the keyhole and top/front/end (I usually make some type of guess on these anyway, even after spending a lot of time here). What do you guys think of this? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

CDP, you can google "dentaldat blog" (search for "angle" within his blog it has a free mini angle ranking quiz), Chads has an angle ranking quiz (for a price I'm pretty sure), predds . net has free PAT practice http://***********/perceptual-ability-practice-tests/ (replace ****** with "www . predds . net" without spaces), and something that I think helps a little with the angles is http://www.rocklerchallenge.com/game.html its not really designed for dat prep, but it is definitely an angle matching exercise. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Crack DAT PAT! Do it. Seriously! 🙂

I was doing HORRIBLE when I first started, and even couldn't finish the problems within the time frame. BUT, CDP has helped me SO MUCH. My score has gotten significantly better with just a little bit of practice a day. I'd recommend it using it to study for the perceptual portion.

Hopefully my use of CDP prepared me for the actual exam that I take in a week. 🙂

Good luck to you in a week! Update me on how it goes. But I mean, I'm doing well on some of the sections and poorly on Keyhole, Top/Front/End, and Pattern Folding. I was wondering if you guys had any strategy to suggest... And back to my original question, do you guys think it would be okay if I went and did the angles, cubes, and hole punching first on the real exam and then went to the others afterwards? Just so my strongest sections can be first and if I have to, I'm guessing on my weakest sections. I only have 2 weeks and am going to keep practicing obviously, but at the same time, I don't have much time just to prepare for the Perceptual since I really have to focus on the sciences too. Thanks again!
