So after my interview the interviewer personally told me, " I just have to tell you, I am a fan. I am a fan of you."

Then before I left at the end of the day, the asst. dean of admissions approached me a stated, " We want to let you know that we at X university really like that you have a degree in spanish; that's something we really want to have."

Humm...

Is this the perfect interview, and has anyone else had REALLY awesome interviews???

Hahaha, it's probably somewhere in California. Likely UoP, UCSF, or UCLA. Sounds pretty good to me🙂

I had something similar happen to me. I was accepted the next day 🙂 In my interviewers words... "There are people here pulling for you."

Sounds like good news to me, you needed other people to confirm that?

Why are people on the anononymous internet so afraid to share any details - where was this. This is really just one of those 'hey look at me' kind of threads

for me, at the end of the interview i was told: "very good, excellent, however, i'm not the only one who makes the decision, we have a committee...", I ended up being waitlisted at that school....

I got a similar response from my #1 choice school... It's a good feeling but it still leaves you somewhat nervous. The thing is, if you've been offered an interview, they already like your academic background, PS, ECs, and LORs. All that leaves is an interview... and if that goes well, I see no reason why you wouldn't get in... it's weird. Anyhow, I'm supposed to hear back next week... wish me luck b/c my chances are 1/5 :xf:

i'm in Cali and that inteview was at UB, i think the committee thought that i would go somewhere else and UB wasn't my first choice eventhough I really like the school much more than the other california school, maybe they found it hard to believe me esp when i'm married and have kid. the problem is i don't have any offer yet.

My interviewer at BU told me that I had success written all over me and that she hoped to see me there in the fall. I was still sweating bullets over the next couple of days.

At Louisville I was told in both of my separate interviews that I am "a very strong applicant," that I am "just what we are looking for," and that "I don't see any reason why you would not be accepted." Both interview sessions were ego-boosting lovefests. It sounded like a sure thing. I walked out of there on top of the world.

I am now on the "Next to be Contacted" list, and it is unlikely that I will gain admission.

Compliments are great, but don't get too far ahead of yourself. Wait to celebrate until you see or hear "Offer Made."

Each time they asked me a question, I would answer and they would end with "Thank you so much...thank you." I was like "🙂 No problem, good question." LOL. When I left they gave me a hug! HAHAHAH. I think that is the best interview!

The man and woman who interviewed me were very nice, nodding, and asked me some awesome questions. When they asked me, "Do you have any questions?" I was like, "Yeah, but can I make a statement." They both just look at each other and go "OF COURSE! ANYTHING YOU WANT!" I kinda got scared because it was so sudden and loud. LOL!

I heard a lot of "you are a great applicant" "I hope to see you here in the fall"...

Nothing ever came of it. They all lie

After my Why dentistry? question my interviewer goes, "wow probably the best response I've heard" I just rambled on ha

One of interviews lasted like 10 mins and I only got asked 3 questions.
It was 1-on-1 interview and and the end, interviewer told me that I was going to receive "the highest remarks" for my interview. It turns out I did get accepted 👍😍

..."We would also like to take this chance to ask you to have our collective babies, if you would do us the honor."

I was ecstatic after my interview when the interviewer said that it was "a breath of fresh air listening to someone so passionate about dentistry"...and... "You can tell just by watching your eyes light up that you are excited about your future in dentistry...we get so many dullwarts🙂laugh🙂 that come in with the same rehearsed things to say..its quite obvious your passion is genuine and real"

I will never forget those phrases but at the same time it is in no way a guaranteed acceptance. The interview was towards the beginning of Feb. and am still waiting to hear back.

I love hearing the experiences vs. the acceptances/rejections. When you're waiting to go in, do you talk to the other people that are waiting too and psych yourself out? Hopefully not, but I'm sure some people do.

Which schools was it that the interview did not seem to matter much to you?

at one of the school i interviewed at, the interviewer looked at my file real quick then asked "do you have any questions?" we ended up talking about remodeling homes.
