Are peripheral interventions (limbs, carotids, renals) in the realm of cardiologists or not? If they are performed by cardiologists , do they recieve training in such interventions during their interventional fellowship or do they pursue additional training?
Thanks

1. yes

2. yes. currently interventional fellows receive peripheral experience in my institution (one year interventional program), but to get sufficient numbers they usually require additional training. Some spend up to a year obtaining extra peripheral training.
