Permanent Mailing Address

This may be a neurotic and silly question to ask, but...

Does this or does this not affect interview invites/selection outcome?

IE- Originally from New York, but now in California and am now a resident of California. Will placing a California permanent mailing address negatively affect the way New York programs view me? I have heard from other students that programs will question why you would want to leave X, Y , or Z place based off such addresses.

Probably not.

In any case, you can still keep "ties" to NY saying that's where you got your undergrad, or grew up etc., and explain that the permanent address is due to you schooling there.
