Hi there!

I'm planning to apply for 2009 residency in Canada.

However, I don't have a permanent residentship yet. My wife is a canadian. I think the process will be fine and fast to get it.

I'm afraid that the process takes little longer.

As far as I know, I should be a permanent resident at the time of application.

Is it ok to be permanent resident until October?

You have to be a permanent resident (and have an official document certified) by the time all documents are to be received by CaRMS (which is October, as you mentioned).

(Some programs may accept late documents but you have to check their individual requirements for that.)
