Hey, so has anyone ever gotten personal copies of their letters of recommendation? Is it unprofessional to request for a personal copy? Only reason I'm asking is one of my professors uploaded my letter onto interfolio today and all I can see is that it's a page long. How long are they usually supposed to be? I know I'm just being paranoid because this is the professor I knew the least well out of all my letter writers. I don't think she wrote anything bad but I'm just curious to see it.

Unprofessional? Yes, it shows you don't trust your professor's recommendations. I'm pretty sure with interfolio, if your professor god forbid gets pissed off, can even update his LoR to indicate that to medical schools. That being said, if a professor offers himself to show you the letter, take that opportunity and run with it!

And keep in mind 99% of professors aren't dicks. If you don't know this professor well, the worst he'll say is that you did well in his class and showed passion in the subject.

gah i hope so! how long are letters usually?

All my LORs from professors were 1 page. My PIs wrote 2 pages.
