Hi everyone,

I am applying to schools and I am currently in the process of creating my personal statement.

I am wondering if anyone has any advice on what to include in the statement other than my reasons for wanting to become an OT.

I do not really know anyone else going through this process and feel a little overwhelmed at times with everything we need to do so any type of advice or guidance would be really helpful.

Thanks so much in advance.

David

I would include any experiences that you have whether be work or volunteer that fuel your desire to become an OT, why you are a good candidate or perhaps you are diverse in some way? I would be clean and precise!

Thanks so much. Does OTCAS have a general personal statement for the application that I can go off of prompts from or is each individual school different in what they require for the statement?

Thanks again.

I am also in the process of writing my personal statement. Did you finish yours already?

Yes, I just submitted my application yesterday. After months of writing my PS I finally decided it was good enough haha.
