Hello, I have a quick question. In my personal statement, the main points I talk about for why I want to be a doctor is being able to help people, and developing relationship with patients (patient interaction). I understand that this is pretty generic, but BASED OFF OF THESE TWO TOPICS ALONE, is there any red flags? I’m not trying to stand out with my PS, I just want to make sure that there’s nothing wrong with using these two topics. Thanks

You plan on interacting with your patients and want to help people? I am pretty sure the EMR takes care of all that for you. /s

No, you are good. But, like....that is super generic...you can help patients (and interact with them even more) as a nurse or an MA. Don't try to stand out if you don't want to, but be a little more interesting.

"There is nothing new under the sun". Many, many people will be saying the same thing in one form or another. And that's okay. The key is to SHOW in detail (not tell) what you have done to prepare to become a medical student and a doctor and to make clear that you have the traits/understanding/competence to do it.
