Personal Statement for Different SOAP Specialty

Applied psych and will likely have to SOAP. Plan is to apply to psych, TY, and prelim-IM programs. I've also obtained IM geared LORs and wrote an IM geared PS. 2 questions:
1 - I'm assuming my psych LORs and PS will be fine for TY programs. Yea or nay?
2 - Will I be better off applying to prelim-IM programs with my IM geared PS and LORs, or are my psych ones fine, beings it would just be for prelim spots and I'm planning on reapplying to psych programs this fall?

you may want to adjust it slightly to reflect how an IM prelim year will help you as a psychiatrist
