when you are reapplying, would you
1. use your previous personal statement again?
2. change it a little, but maintain consistency in contents?
3. write an all new 2008 version?( so that dental schools may not recognize you?)

well i would imagine you would have to change it cuz hopefully you did some new things since the last time to better your chances of getting accepted this time around

do not change. no one will know. schools will not remember and they dont keep your records.

unless you think that is what kept you from getting in somewhere.

our pre-health advisor said some adcoms people told her that they want to see new statements for reapps. good luck!!!

I agree. Unless you haven't learned anything from the last cycle, you should at least rework it. I completely redid mine with much success.

how much can you change?

i have learned how not to get accepted.

but if you think you have said everything you have wanted to ever say about how and why you want to be a dentist, i dont think the past few months would change your statement much..
