Hi all,

I am applying to the OT program in Texas Tech and have been working on my personal statement. I had someone read my first draft just to get an opinion and they said that my personal statement sounded very common. The prompt for Texas Tech is very structured unlike other schools which ask to state your goals and why you want to be an OT ..etc. However, Texas Tech's prompt is : what are your expectation for graduate study and how these differ from undergraduate study. Why you would be an asset to the Texas Tech MOT program and describe challenges that you might face and your plan to overcome them. Right now I feel really bummed because my essay just sounds like a compare/contrast of grad and ungrad school. Can somebody please offer me advice. I really thought it would be easier to write a PS for this school vs the OTCAS since the topic is focused, but obviously I am having trouble with it. I would really appreciate it if somebody would read what I have as of right now and tell me if I am even on the right track or need to start all over. Thank in advance.

i have been accepted to Texas Tech for fall 2014. If you want to send me your personal statement in a message I would have a look at it.
