Hello everyone! I'm submitting my AACOMAS today. I know it's late, I have diminished chances, it takes a long time for AACOMAS to verify, etc.

But I have to try.

Anyway, my application is done, just needs to be double-checked and paid on today. The Personal Statement section restricts you to the newspaper column-esque box and if I double space there - as seems appropriate for this sort of thing - the PS comes out awkwardly on the Application Summary section.

Am I correct to assume this is not a problem since the PS page clearly states, "The admissions representatives will see it exactly as you typed it here?" It just seems odd that it would be in newspaper column format rather than a straightforward, full screen essay format. My intuition says "don't worry about it, the App Summary section is just for you and it's not how they'll see it" but I thought I'd run it past you guys.

I didn't double space... Doesn't that cost you characters to do that?

Yep, probably in the low double figures. Probably could have gotten one more sentence out of that so I figure it's really not a big deal.

Huh, I guess I never really checked specifically but I thought the program would count characters equal to the number of "spaces" within the unused lines.

In any case, I don't think it is all that important to double space, so I would see little reason to risk a potentially weird formatting for it.
