So I copy/paste my PS onto the app, and the characters go from 4500 (according to Microsoft Word) to 4504 on the application. Not too big of a problem, but what i'm concerned about is that when I click "preview", the paragraphs lose their indentation, so my essay looks like one long paragraph. I try indenting it on the application and when I click preview, it still looks like one long paragraph. I'm contemplating adding a blank line between paragraphs, so its easy to differentiate.

Is anyone else having the same problem? Should I just leave it looking as 1 big paragraph? What are you guys doing or what did some of you do in the past?

I separated the paragraphs with a blank line between. I think that's what most other people do.

paste it into notepad first, fix it up in there, and then paste it into the personal statement box to avoid hidden characters or w/e.

For some reason my statement won't show paragraph indents...what the heck!!!

Follow the instructions. Type the personal statement in onenote. They make it difficult for some reason.

Doing it on notepad/wordpad helped me figure out some indent problems. so when I pasted it onto AADSAS, all the indents showed up initially, but when clicking preview, it was all one large paragraph again. Do these indents show up when they actually read it?

I'm thinking about just separating the paragraphs witch a blank line like one person suggested. Just weird typing it this way, doesnt feel professional to me

Separating with a line is what I did last year. I'm going to dschool next year so I'm not making an AADSAS account and can't see it - but I THOUGHT there was some note/comment that said AADSAS will reformat your essay before it's sent out. So don't worry about it?

Just read through the instructions and your right they say they'll reformat the essay into paragraph form before sending it out. Since it looks like most people separates the paragraphs ill just go ahead and do it as well.

The instructions say that they will put the personal statement in paragraph form before sending it to dental schools. I'm assuming you are supposed to denote separate paragraphs by putting a line in between paragraphs (thus no need to put indentations). Hope this helps and please correct me if I'm wrong.
