i am working on my personal statment and am wondering what would be better to include in my personal statement, my shadowing/assisting experience or my research experience? Also, how long is the AADSAS essay supposed to be?

why not include both?

as for the 2nd question, your personal statement should be less than 4500 characters. I would aim for about 2-3 pages double-spaced.

Also make sure to get creative with it, the adcoms have to read thousands of those things!
