I was wondering if anyone else had problems about their personal statement being too boring. I accompanied mine with a small story and anecdotes about my life, but I just don't feel that the readers will enjoy it.

Would anyone be willing to give it a read and give some good strong criticisms?

I did have a lot of trouble with my PS the past two times I applied, but after several rounds of physician and medical student reviews and discussion this time, I made a full turn around on my PS and I think it turned into something that I am now very proud of. Through this process I have learned a lot and I think I now understand what the adcoms are looking for... All PSs are like a recipe, there are a few things that you need to include in order to make it effective to the goals of the PS. Not sure if mine is "entertaining" really, but it’s definitely me.

If you want, I would love to read yours! But be warned... I am a HARSH critic. I mean, you may cry after I rip your PS apart... I have read over 70 SDN PS's this cycle so far, and some people said they loved my detailed criticism, and some complained because they were unwilling to take the heat on something they worked so hard on. I quit for a while, but I’m willing to read a few more to keep myself sane while I wait for more interviews (hopefully!). I’ll PM you my email if you are interested...
