Hi,

I'm working on my app right now and I'm having a very hard time trying to decide what to include and leave out. Right now my statement includes 70% of the important things I've taken part in but I'm thinking it's too dense. I did research for 3 years, and I have a small paragraph dedicated to it, but my friend said in order to keep the essay cohesive and with a strong theme, I should take this paragraph out. What do you guys think?

Anyone who's been successful in admissions want to read it?

Check out the personal statement reader thread. It's somewhere on here (you might have to look on the second page of threads). Someone will read your PS for you.

Just remember that your activities are also included in your application. Don't waste space/time retelling everything you mentioned elsewhere in your app. That's pretty much the only advice you can give you. You should include something if it's directly related to your decision for pursuing medicine. If it isn't, you probably should cut it out.

Answer Why Medicine? Don't cram your CV in the personal statement.
