Personal Statement-past experiences???

Is including your past experiences other than your college accomplishments in the personal statement a no no? I decided to write about an experience that shaped my life 10 years ago and tried to connect taht with my high school and college accomplishments but still debating on whether its too much unnecessary info? thanks.

I'd leave out the highschool accomplishments unless you cured cancer. Schools like to see you talk aobut things yo udid while in college as an adult

I think it's fine. In fact, a PS that merely rehashes your ECs is really not a strong PS. You should be adding to your application, fleshing it out to give AdComs a better idea of who you are. If you have an experience from when you were younger that supports why you want to go to medical school, by all means, use it.
