Personal Statement Q: Should I include the name of the hopsital or not?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I listed the name of the hospital in my personal statement.

Since that experience should be in your PharmCAS application, it's not a big deal if you leave out the name. I just put it in there because it made my story less vague while connecting to a random line in my primary applications.

You should mention it, unless you don't want to. I would only mention it once or twice, in the beginning and maybe at the end. For example, "While volunteering at Mercy Hospital (introduction paragraph), I.... The hospital (body paragraphs)... From these experiences, I've learned so much about pharmacy, etc... at Mercy Hospital (conclusion paragraph)".

When talking about volunteer experience, should I mention the hospital name or should I just say 'local hospital' since the hospital is not anywhere near the universities I'm applying to...?

If it's local to the school you're applying to, I suppose you could. Otherwise I really don't see much point other than like Omnione said, it makes it less vague to put in a name instead of just mentioning "a hospital".
