Is the 4500 character limit with spaces or without spaces? And also, am I supposed to tailor each personal statement to each different school or can I have one main one? Because I have seen mixed posts.

The character limit is 4500 including spaces. It also isn't necessary to tailor the main personal statement to each school as most schools will have shorter separate essay questions where you talk about why you would be a good fit for their program.

Including spaces. And no, you can just write one general personal statement addressing why you want to become an optometrist, and use that for all the schools. (Even though some schools might say they want a specific one, honestly I just used my one essay for all of them and had absolutely no problems 🙂 )
