Personal statement question

Hey guys I searched and found out that your personal statement can be 5300 characters Including spaces, but with your experience, how many words does that come out to when using microsoft word?

I am trying to write it out in MS word, and just copy and paste it when needed, but I'm getting confused looking at the word count on my MS word, it says I have 1650 words, but then it says I have 8500 characters with spaces included.

So is roughly 2 pages single spaced about the limit for the PS?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I do not want to write it longer/shorter then it has to be,

I believe it's 5300 CHARACTERS, not words

so roughly around 900 words

Mine is pretty close to 5300 and its a little over a page single spaced. You're gonna need to cut that down a bit. It sucks, I know. 🙁
