When you preview your statement in the application is that how it will exactly look to the adcoms? Word is saying my statement is slightly over the 4500 character limit however when I preview it in my application everything is there. So is there the potential that my statement might get cut off even though in the preview format it's all there?

Thanks in advance.

so what you preview is exactly what adcom see?

I'm exactly at 4500 characters but I read somewhere here that you should get it down to 4490 or something so it doesn't cut you off.

I also see everything I wrote on preview and it allows me to save.

I assume that's what the adcoms will see. I've never heard of it cutting your PS off, that sounds ludicrous, especially if it's at or under the character limit. It's possible some bug in their software screwed someone's PS up at some point, but I highly doubt it's an active problem if it's even true.

There's really no way to verify exactly what they see though, the only sure thing you could do is call or email the ADEA and ask about it.

Yeah I agree with Kahr.. It doesn't make sense that they would cut off your PS when the limit is specifically 4500!

I would take advantage of that.
