Good morning all. I finally wrote my personal statement yesterday. I am planning to apply this year (late I know) to both MD and DO schools. Stats are low average and my MCAT is projected to be on the lower side. (Will retake in January). I was hoping a few of you would be willing to take a look at my personal statement and let me know what you think. This is a working copy that I am happy with but it hasnt been reviewed many people yet. I am a professional writer with more than 20yrs experience so I am not looking so much for editing aside from catching some punctuation or stylistic errors that I may have missed. I am looking for an overall impression mostly.

Any takers? It would be appreciated.

Just FYI: You're not doing yourself any favors for MD or DO if your MCAT isn't going to be in Jan. You're already late for MD and you're essentially shooting yourself in the foot. I'd wait till next cycle if possible.

Edit: Not late for DO.

I have all my secondaries submitted and I need something to keep me busy to get my mind off applications. You can PM me if you want.
