Hi all, what is the thought for modifying the personal statement for the DO App? Like should we talk about being a DO and doing the manipulation, holistic side or save that for secondaries/interviews?

Insert "osteopathic" somewhere. That was the only difference between my personal statements lol.

I used the word physician and doctor. Osteopath falls under these categories.

Save the bull for the secondaries and II. Chances are you won't even need it

"osteopath" is technically a different profession to an osteopathic physician and some people reading might feel it derogatory on some level.

semantics imo but there are schools of thought who prefer strictness

Man, the DO personal Statement is so much shorter! I'm having a hard time figuring out what to cut!
