Is it okay if i use my same PS from last cycle again. I might make some minor changes. I was just curious if the schools can tell if i used the same one again

An old lor will probably get you the same results, unless you have those "minor changes" include having improved your application considerably.

I don't think that they would keep track of something like that. I would edit your PS though in order to update the activities, EC's shadowing etc that you have completed since last cycle.

If you are applying to the same schools? I'd say no. Have you spoken with the schools and determined why you didn't get accepted? What improvements did they say to make? I would make those improvements (if you haven't already) and a few other improvements too.
Definitely rewrite your ps. Maybe even mention that you are a reapplicant - this could show determination. Make it a good thing! Show what you did with your time and show how you improved!

Think about that. Its not like everything changed overnight. If you personal statement is solid and has been looked over, then I would use the same one again. Add a paragraph about how you've improved. Tweak things here and there. If you personal statement is junk, rewrite it.

I love my PS, its just my average grades and DAT that hurt me. When i interviewed at UF, the 3 ladies who interviewed me told me that they loved my PS. so obviously my PS didn't hurt

If you have positive feedback, don't change it. Use the extra year to get the grammar and syntax down pat and add any updates you want to make them aware of. It sounds like the motivation is there though

This. I was denied my first year (mostly because my application was late), however, I reapplied the second year with essentially the same PS. As AwesomeTeeth stated, you're reasons for wanting to join the field of dentistry haven't changed, however, you may be a stronger applicant this year and you need to relay that message through some added text. It worked for me, good luck!
