Hello folks,

I don't have any dental experience yet, so do u have any ideas as to how I should articulate my volunteer experiences (with hospital patients etc) for dental primary application.

I will be shadowing in a few weeks but I am so late in cycle that I want to submit my primary. Hence, I am looking for personal statement showing inspiration for dentistry without getting to shadowing etc.

would appreciate some discussion on it

you are submitting now? most dental schools deadlines are dec 1st.
otherwise not sure how u should express your non-dental volunteer xp in your ps.

If I were you, I would wait until the next cycle. Although applicants who apply this late still may get accepted, it is much less likely and is very dependent on having very strong stats and extracurriculars. Applying is very expensive as well, so I would hate to see you waste the $$ if you didn't get in. Fill out this application without submitting it and save it to your computer. Shadow, volunteer, retake the DAT if you need to, and make sure you're set to get your app. in early next cycle. Best of luck to you!
