I am writing my PS and I was wondering if it was OK to talk about my experience at the orthodontist's in my intro because that's really what caught my interest to dentistry.

That sounds like a great idea! Many people write about how they got interested in dentistry either by being a patient or through job shadowing, I was the latter too! 🙂
