I have begun working on my personal statement and, let me tell ya, it is way harder than I had anticipated. Anways, I looked up some web sites with tips for writing a personal statement and most of them say that you should mention a faculty member at the school you want to attend and comment on some research or something that the member does that interests you. Did you guys do this? I am not quite sure exactly what is meant by this.

Maybe that is true if you are applying to a school in CA. I don't this that is a big deal unless you are wanting to do research or are going to a school that is research oriented. It seems cheezy to me.

I didn't mention anyone in particular in mine... I did comment on the reasons I specifically wanted to attend the school itself though.

I have just finished a rough draft of my personal statement and am wondering if any current pharmacy students can read over it and offer some constructive criticism. The personal staement is supposed to be one page long and mine is 2 pages so I need to cut it down considerably.
