1) if it was me i would rewrite it, probably using many of the same themes and ideas, but adding to it what i have done to make myself a better applicant and just overall updating and freshening it up a little.

2) the same personal statement goes to all the schools, since it is part of your universal aadsas application. many schools have individual secondary applications where they may ask you to write a second essay pertaining specifically to their school. also, if you choose to fill out an in-house application rather than or in addition to aadsas, the essay on that application would only be seen by that school.

and what's wrong with being kind? Some ppl here are ridiculously arrogant. Get a life. Put things in perspective: we are all just going to end up being manual laborers, albeit well-paid ones.

i figure you never know, he might just be some high school student starting to research dentistry by reading the message boards, i think that is a perfectly acceptable way to try and gather information, so i would try to help. the one kind of post i am starting to get really sick of, though, are the "what are my chances" threads that we have seen 2-3 per day of lately. especially the "i have a 3.5 and a 23, will i get in" kind.
