Hey guys and gals,

I've never seen the actual application so I was wondering what exactly they ask for in the personal statement. I'm writing it right now and it would help to know what they're asking. Is it just "why do you want to be a dentist" or something more specific. Or is it different every year?

The essay is the same every year... I think on the actual application it just says something like "paste your essay here." Reeeeal helpful. 🙄 The FAQ page on the AADSAS website just says "Organize your thoughts about why you are seeking a dental education" and you're not really going to get much more detail from them. In short, your essay should explain your motivations for pursuing dentistry. I think this website gives a really good description of what you should include and the process you should go through:
