Thank you for the advice. The topics are usually extremely broad. I assume that there are unofficial guidelines as to what to include in the personal statement, though. Just like you don't technically have to have pharmacy experience to apply, but everyone knows you damn well better. So are there any such guidelines for the personal statement?

Here's what I did. I told a short story about how I learned about the pharmacy profession and what lead me down the pharmacy path. Then I told how my experience with a severe illness deepened my desire to become a pharmacist...blah blah blah. Then I answered the how a PharmD will help with your goals question by talking about which area of pharmacy I wanted to pursue. Hope this helps a little
