Hi all, I'm just about done with my SOPHAS application and the only thing I have left is to upload a personal statement... which I have not written yet. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some help?

My undergrad GPA is about a 3.3, my GRE scores are a 1230, so I know I need my personal statement to boost me a bit. Throughout college, I've worked as an EMT and a Medical Assistant. I am a state-certified HIV test counselor, I've done plenty of volunteering, and I have experience doing undergraduate lab research under a professor as well. I also am assisting two professors with a grant just given to the school for peer education about sex, drugs, and alcohol awareness.

But what the heck do I write in a personal statement? HELP!! 😕

I don't know which schools you're planning on applying to, but if you look on their websites, most places will give you a rough idea of what to put in your personal statement. I know that isn't very specific, but if I told you exactly what to write, then it wouldn't be "yours". Good luck! 🙂

Check with each schools guidelines . Some may want specific things while others have a broad question. Also note the limits-Three different schools that I applied to had different word counts(500,1000,1500).
