I just had a question about personal statements...

Do you think it would be a bad idea to talk about an experience in high school? I am thinking about writing about sports and how a certain moment influenced me.

Thanks!

Thats really up to you. If you think it was a glorious moment that changed you, then why not?

i think that any theme or any topic would be right as long as you follow the true format of writing a personal statement.

if your letter is not boring, and leaves me with no question about you and why dentistry, then it will be just fine.

i also know that your personal statement letter is HUGE! i have read books written by actual adcom people who said that they were about to reject someone, but soon changed their minds after reading the statement.

i canoot stress this point any further. make sure you have a good one and really work hard on it!

good luck!!

i think you should honestly write something that occured during your college years as they are what is supposed to have shaped you, i mean, there must be something within 4 years...but thats justmy take on it...i would keep it more mature...and once again...just an opinion...
