Did you guys include a favorite dental procedure and what impact it had on u? Or did you stick to why dentistry is for you. yes, I know, they go hand in hand. But we are on the character limit so adding an experience would take up a few lines in my essay

I am having the same problem. I don't really know what I'd put for a specific dental procedure. They all impact me the same. I am most impacted by the fact that you can change a nasty mouth to an attractive and organized one...

I must of spent ~ 4 paragraphs talking about perio depth probing...

why and what did you say... you don't have to tell me exactly, I just don't know what you would write other than "I loved watching them do periodontal probing and now I can't wait to do it myself ... "

So where is your essay now, in terms of impact of procedures on u? Did u just reduce it to a few sentences or did you dedicate a whole paragraph consisting of 4-8 sentences?

At one of my interviews, one girl mentioned how she assisted with sealants. She was asked about the procedure, and she had no idea what etch did, the point of pumicing, etc. So if you mention any procedure, make sure you know what you're talking about.

Right. After all, operative dentistry, endo, perio, oral surgery, ortho, pedo and prosthodontics are so inconsequential to the practice of dentistry.
