Out of curiosity, does the Personal Statement topic change year to year or from school to school? If the topic changes year to year, where can I find the most updated topic? Lastly, I realize that a personal statement is a description of yourself, however, after talking it to a couple of med students, they told me that it's different from year to year.

The AMCAS personal statment prompt is the same every year. It's really a guideline.....you can write about anything, but the main point you want to get across is why you want to be a doctor. The secondary essays have also been the same each year. It's pretty rare that a school will completely change the essay questions on you from year to year.
