As a contributing member to SDN and a 8-month member, I would like to organize a petition to protest JPHazelton's account being placed on hold. He may be a straight-shooter, but he is an asset to the SDN community and his opinions and views are valued within the SDN Pre-osteo and Osteo message boards.

Please reinstate his privileges on SDN in full.

Although we appreciate the kind thoughts and support for JPH, no petition is necessary. JPH is a longtime SDN member and a key member in the development of the forums.

Volunteer members at SDN (including myself) from time-to-time take a break from daily activities on the site. At the moment, he is on a brief hiatus.

I have several problems with this petition. First, you did not provide any information as to why JP was put on hold. Second, you are banking on his posts on an anonymous forum that he's a good guy. Third, you are outright saying to not object to anything in this thread and only contact you directly with issues. This is probably the most biased thread I've ever read, on top of MD/DO, IMG, and URM threads. It looks like Lee is letting you know it's just a short break, forced or not. Good luck.

From Lee's message, it sounds like he just opted to take a break from SDN and will return at some point. Maybe he's got things in his real life he needs to focus on and can't afford to spend any time participating or moderating on SDN. 🙂

Well sine it's ruined now anyway... "the undersigned" meant that I just wanted people to add their names and their support. People don't add dissent or questions to a petition. Yes, petitions are biased. They are meant to embody a persuasive argument backed by popular support. I don't think that that should be any surprise to anyone with a secondary education.

As to whether he's a good guy, I've contacted him via PM many times and I also know that he is legit seeing as he...um...teaches OMM at PCOM as a fifth year OMM fellow. And everything and everyone at PCOM is top notch, IMO 😎

Anyway, thanks for elaborating Lee. 🙂

Just because he goes to medical school and is a TA doesn't mean he didn't do something wrong to get banned. You were just as clueless to his hiatus as I was, but you brought it upon yourself to start a petition without solid facts. Thus, you made an emotional argument instead of one backed by logic. I have found that while all of the recent people put on hold have been helpful maybe only half the time, their feedback is always honest and more experienced than average SDNers, like myself.

JP seems the most experienced and helpful out of the group so I agree with the OP.

I vouched for a guy whom I think is a pretty good guy through my experience on SDN. It turns out that I may have jumped the gun judging by Lee's post.

I don't see why you're being such a prick, Riviera. Honestly, you can continue this pissing match but I'm throwing in the towel. You're clearly the superior mind.🙄

Furthermore, this thread is not without worth. Clearly there are people on SDN who value JP's posts. I was trying to convey that and I have succeeded. You have succeeded in being a snide and rude irritation.
