What's up everyone, I finally graduated from the pre-dental forum to Dental!

I was wondering if anyone could give their perspective and experiences of having a pet during dental school. I'll be starting first year at NYU this August, and really really want to bring my dog with me...just wondering if there are any of you in the same situation and how you handled it...

i.e. hours each day you spent at class and studying away from home, city pet licenses, and/or deposits you had to put down for pets...anything and everything really
