Pexam anyone's tried it?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Looks like some good new resources are coming out. The more the better.

I would've bought this for the June exam had it been around back then.

Ya...And as soon as I get my book in mail...I'll let u know how it is.... 😉

Some of the sample questions seemed like they weren't so detailed. The Kaplan book has tons of detail. Is this how the test really is?

Hey.....

I don't know if they are harder than the actual PCAT or the Kaplan book questions...'

I got my book & so far I've finished Biology, Chemistry and Math....

200 questions for each section....I think the book contains enough info for to be prepared for the real PCAt....I've not taken the test yet so i don't know how reliable this book is....

but oh well.....it can never hurt to know some extra stuff...

Thanks for the info chuks_pharmD!!!! you're right, it's never hurt to study extra... I'll order one and see how it is.... also waiting for new Kaplan (2006-07)to come out by the end of Sept. 🙂

I do not recommend this book. It is the first edition and the author and editors definitely do not double check the book because there are A LOT of errors. Save your money and get the official pcat practice exams.

Oh great. I already got it. Are you saying just to buy the online practice PCAT test from the Harcourt site? I thought that was the only published real PCAT.

Has anyone tried it?

Yep........I bought the pcat practice test from their website for $19....I don't know how useful it is going to be...but to me the questions were not difficult at all....especially verbal section..considering that english is not my native language...i still felt preety confident about that section and got most questions right......hopefullly the real PCAt will be that easy too....

the only draw back for this test is..it only has 25-30 questions per section......whereas the real test has 65 questions per section..oh to me the math was kind of time consuming...

So those of you who purchased this book, and took the Oct exam, was this book worth the money???
