Other PGY-1 in Psychiatry Interested in Switching to FM or IM

Hello everyone, I am a PGY-1 in psychiatry interested in switching to FM or IM but I have no idea how to go about this process. I have looked at residency swap and saw a couple of positions on there, should I contact the PD directly? Is there anyone else on here who may want to do a swap with me? Also the decision to go through the match or not? This is all so confusing, any help would be appreciated.
