Hello fellow present and future physician-soldiers!

I have a few questions regarding various topics on both Direct Commission as an Army Captain and applying as a current civilian (with almost 8 years prior Army service) to PGY-2 spots in Army Family Medicine Residencies:

1. Is there an age limit on direct commission? I'm 49 now and at one time I knew OCS had a 35 year age limit but I think direct commission may have different restrictions, if any. I have 4 years active duty Army medic time, 3 1/2 Army NG time so I don't know if prior service affects any age restrictions.
If there are restrictions are they potentially waivable? There is limited "official army website info" on this, at least I can't find specific AMEDD direct commission requirements, including any age restriction regs.

2. Where can I find a complete list of medically disqualifying conditions for direct commission as an Army officer?

3. Would you know how many Army FM resident slots there are for Eisenhower and Madigan? I dug pretty deep for this info but neither residency website has it, nor does Freida Online....etc.

4. I know the selection process APPEARS to be a cut and dried point system; that said is there ANY subjectivity to the selection process? For example if a former or current Army FMR PD gets a really good impression about me as a future soldier-physician, does that factor into the equation of selection?

5. Do you have a know a date yet when the selection board meets to discuss PGY-2s like me?

Again I thank you in advance for your time, effort and advice! 🙂
