I didn't really expect to be interested in Derm but I've been shadowing one and really enjoying their day-to-day work in an academic setting. Anyone with direct experience that could discuss? Is it as competitive or more as it is for civilian match? What sort of test scores, research, and other data points are required?
The most recent data I can find suggests that year-to-year interest is overall low but because there's only a few slots not everyone usually matches. I still have a lot of time and would be happy in several other specialties at this point but I'd like some stories.
