Unfortunately after interviewing at 9 places in pm&r including prestigious places like Cornel, NYU and UCLA I ended up without a spot for 2009. I guess pm&r was very competitive this year or I didn't play my cards right. I've passed all of my step 1 and 2 boards and I'll be graduating from a US school this year God-willing and I have very good letters.

I'll be doing an internship next year and keeping my eyes open for any open positions that may come up. If any one knows of any opening in the field please kindly email me at [email protected]

Any advice on how to look for a position during the next year would also be appreciated. Also any advice or your thoughts on if it would be wise to apply again and wait a year after internship (but i'lm affraid the porgrams would not look at that favorably and my chances would not be better next year than this year)

If you are more interested in PMR than where you go, I would first contact the programs that didn't fill. If they still have openings after teh scramble, they might still be looking for applicants. Good luck

It seems like pmr is getting very competitive. I heared in few years ago there used to be around 60-70 spots open for scramble but this year it was only 12 in the whole country!
