PGY-2 spots

I was wondering if there's anything special to do if one wants to apply to pgy-2 spots through ERAS. Are pgy-2 spots only obtained outside of match?

Nothing special, except that most PGY-2 positions are offered on apds.org.

I would recommend you use ERAS but find the programs via APDS like WS says. Why? Programs often like the electronic packaged app from ERAS even if they don't post their advanced spot on ERAS. Find what programs have spots (i.e. APDS, etc...), contact them, and ask if they prefer an ERAS app.

As WS stated, nothing special. Just find the available spots and ask your current PD about potentially unlisted spots.
