Just wondering what the benefits of doing a PGY-3 are. For example, doing a PGY-3 in EM. Would this allow you to be on-call in an ER in a rural area? Or PGY-3 anesthesist, how would this affect one's scope of practice?
 
U don't need ccfp-em to do er in rural hosp. Most rural fp's make more than any er doc. Avg net $600K; a few 1 mil.
