Can I ask the reasons you are exploring other options? Is it lack of diversity, lack of adequate training, lack of quality training, personality issues, etc.???
I think the casprcrip site posts advanced standing positions.
Keep in mind that 3rd year is when you get the best surg, least call, etc, though. When you also factor in that the hospitals also don't get full $ for pgy3s, a lot of programs usually don't "need" more senior residents. You will have to make sure your app is pretty strong.

I am fairly certain they do in 2013, though. Sadly, that information doesn't help this particular individual, but I think it's worth sharing and exciting none-the-less.
