I am bad at memorizing, therefore I'm hoping that some type of pharm cards can be helpful. It seems that the choices are Lange or Pharmcards. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions or recommendation. Please note that I'm using these primarily for class, not step 1, so don't tell me that FA is all I need.

Thanks to anybody with information.

I have Lange --- just opened them this morning, in fact. They're great cards, but I don't think they would be detailed enough for class. Maybe you can add things from lecture that aren't on the cards? Pharmcards, I've heard, are very detailed and might be better suited for class.

If they're for class, making your own might be more efficient (because you won't bother with drugs that don't come up in your class). When I took pharm I brought a stack of index cards and made a card everytime a new drug was mentioned.

I have the Lippincott Pharmcards, and they're pretty good. I keep all the cards in a cardfile box, and as drugs come up in class that I need to remember, I pull the cards from the box and keep them seperate with a rubber band. That way I only review the cards covering drugs for that block.

If you don't like drug cards, or are more a do-it-yourself-er, you can make drug charts using Excel or Word. A table with columns for drug name, class, MOA, clinical use, important side effects and interactions, and a section for special notes or comments works just fine.
