Pharm D question?

Hi All,

I'm Kaumil Gandhi & I'm persuing Master's in Computer Science from IIT, chicago.

My brother is doing B.Pharm from P.S.G Medical College, India & currently he is into his 3rd year, he is interested into Pharm D which will enhence his career, but he wanna do Pharm D in India itself.

So can anybody give me list of best Pharm D colleges in India(any state I don't mind but education should be top most)?

And my second question is after completing Pharm D from India, what is value in US, I mean does he need to study further or can he work on the basis of Pharm D indian education?

In my knowledge, there is no pharm.D in India. Only America has Pharm.D program.

Maybe not the six year PharmD program, but I'm pretty sure other countries offer the PharmD. Canada offers a PharmD, I would imagine other countries do as well.

I talked with my brother and he told me that Pharm D has started in India since last year & also I search on google and found big list of colleges in India for Pharm D:-

Also, can anybody tell me after completing Pharm D from India does we need to study any further education @ America or can we directly work under Company or under Research, replies will be appreciated!!!

I think you still need to obtain license from U.S. which requires hundred hours of working, or something like that. It is better to go to U.S school.

Hi again,

As he will be completeing his BPharm next year he need to do only 3 years to get Pharm D(if he does in India).

So now if my brother wanna do Pharm D from States how many years/credits he need to complete to get Pharm D Degree from USA.

Also as I thnk u r Pharmarcy student can you please give me some good repuated/average college/university list/names where I can search for my younger brother.


What license?sry for dump I m new this is medical world(engg student though 🙁 ), how this license will be useful where n when?

there are some universities in the states that offer PharmD for international students such as Florida and Purdue. Is his BPharm a 4 or 5-year program? I believe with a 5-year BPharm you could get into PharmD in the States for 3 years, then sit for the NAPLEX (licensure examination).

Buy Pharma D from India n same from US..
which one should be given a preference.
I know there are very good colleges in India also..
But should colleges from US Should be given a preference or not.

So if he completes Pharm D from India & want to come USA through student visa which course he should go for?

What is the value Indian Pharm D education in USA?

After passing NAPLEX examination where n which places it will be useful?

consider yourself LUCKY in india that you dont have to spend more time for the degree.
