what do you think of the book pharmacology recall? i don't really like lipincott's pharm because there's not enough detail. what pharm books are good??? kaplan pharm doesn't seem to have much detail either. i thought mechanisms were important to know....??

I loved Pharm Recall because it DOESN'T have tons of detail. It was a very useful book because it has everything that you needed for Step I and nothing that you don't. That power review was worth the price of the book. Great book.

Are you kidding me??!! lippincott pharm has MORE info then it will ever be required of you to know in your medical career..let a,lone med school or the exams! I own all three(recall, lippin and kaplan) and out of those I feel Kaplan is on the money with giving you just the right info you need to know...even that has a little too much info but i think its on the money. Recall is good if you like those question and answer format questions..i thought i did but really i didnt!! Lippincotts is very comprehensive and I would advise you to use that more of as a refference to the kaplan book! Anything not explained well in kaplan should be read up from lippincotts!
Once again this is just my 0.02 cents! It may be different for others! One thing amazing in recall is the review section at the back..which is very crammable before the exam. I would use that along with First Aid pharm!

Are Pharm flash cards any good? I am staring at a mountain of drugs I need to memorize, but I've never really liked flashcards because I have a tendency to just get them all out of order and then can't really find anything. That's what happened with my Netter's Flash Cards.

Is there Pharmacology flash cards for the PDA? Now, THAT would be something I could use. No more mess of cards all over the kitchen table.
