Hey guys,

I applied for my CA pharmacy technician license a couple weeks ago... the form says it takes about 90 days for them to issue the license. So, my dilemma: I want to put cPhT on my pharmcas app, but it has not been issued yet! I don't want to wait for it to be issued because some schools I am applying to are on rolling admissions.... should I just put it on there and say date issued is August or September?

Thanks!!

Actually you earned the title C.PhT by passing the national certification and receiving the PTCB Certificate in the mail. So feel free.

Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I earned pharmacy technician certificate through CSU East Bay (I did the online pharmacy technician certification course). Do I put CSUEB for the organization issuing the certificate? Or do I put CA Board of Pharmacy? So confused! Sorry for so many questions too....

Wait, you did take the PTCE right? The Pharmacy Technician Cert. Exam? Prepared by the PTCB, the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board?

No. My school offers a pharmacy technician certification program. Upon completion you can apply for a CA CPhT license without taking the national exam. That's why I am a little confused... I took a different route!
